What does RiP Dev stands for?
RiP Dev stands for Russian iPhone Development. But we like the acronym so internally there are a lot of silly things related to the other meaning of R.I.P. and "rip" :)
Will your products be supported in 2.0 firmware?
Absolutely. We're actively working on providing the support for our entire product line for the upcoming 2.0 firmware. Please watch our site for the announcements. :)
I have got a new phone, will my old license work?
You will have to request a license transfer. Please e-mail us at and provide your authorization code or order number and we'll happily do it for you!
How do I uninstall Kate?
Launch Kate.app (if you have already Uninstalled it in Installer.app, install again), then uncheck all the checkboxes and hit "Apply". Then you can uninstall Kate from the Installer.app.
After installation of Kate sounds no longer work?
Uninstall "Reminder" component through Kate (remove the checkbox near the Reminder and hit Apply button), then reboot. You should be back to normal (you can install Reminder again afterwards).
After installation of Kate the touchscreen does not work.
This problem was fixed in Kate 1.3.1 and newer. Please upgrade! :)
Will Kate be in the AppStore? Will I have to re-purchase it?
Due to the limitations that Apple puts on the applications sold through the AppStore, Kate would not be able to provide all flexibility required to deliver its stunning set of features. Because of that, Kate will require the "jailbroken" device.
