Localization

Current firmware versions do include Russian localization; however, some of the phrases in the localization make us think if it was robot translated… Russian Project includes optional alternative localization that is done in a more correct way (and with love!) by Russians for Russians.

Contacts Search

The search bar in address book is quite unhandy. It truncates some letters and you cannot easily find the one you need. Our modification smartly groups least used letters together so you can switch to another section as quick as possible.

Phone Fix

Some local operators send the phone numbers for incoming calls as 8-123-456-7890 instead of standard +7-123-456-7890. This way, phone numbers from your address book do not get detected! Russian Project efficiently solves this problem.

System Font

Specifics of Russian language is that it is less compact compared to English. This means that the average word is longer and occupies more space on the screen. Because of this a well-known company ParaType developed a font named Rip Dev which is more compact as compared to standard Helvetica, thus allowing better integration with Russian language.

Keyboard Modifications

Unfortunately autocorrection is not perfect for Russian language yet and often is more of an obstacle than a helper. Russian Project allows an option to turn off autocorrection and adds a new feature that enables slight vibration feedback when you press virtual keyboard letters. Try it by yourself!

Operator Logos

Adds logotypes for various local operators. All logos are developed by us in conformance with the operator's brandbooks.
